Damariscotta Historical Society’s annual silent auction Sept. 2-12
The Damariscotta Historical Society will once again hold its annual silent auction event to raise funds to preserve ancient burial grounds in Damariscotta. The silent auction will take place at Skidompha Library located at 184 Main Street in Damariscotta and will open with more than 150 quality items on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 9 a.m. and will close on Friday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. Bids can be placed during regular library hours, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Auction items can be picked up and paid for on Saturday, Sept. 13, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
There are so many exciting items to bid on, including an outdoor fire pit, tools from Calvin Dodge, a matted and framed Maurice Jake Day print, and dozens of gift cards from local businesses just to name a few. It’sa great opportunity to get your holiday shopping done, while helping the Damariscotta Historical Society honor members of our community who have passed as well as restore history.
